A VICTORIAN SILVER MOUNTED GLASS CLARET JUG, London, 1867, maker's mark of John Figg, plain cylindrical with bombe base, the broad neck mount two sides with grotesque mask within vine enclosed oval issuing fruited grapevine, with bearded grotesque mask spout, the ring support to the lower body joining engraved scroll handle, with beaded rims, the hinged cover with fruited grapevine band, topped by drunken peasant atop a barrel, the rim with presentation inscription dated 1915--11in.
