A GEORGE III SILVER TEAPOT ON STAND, London, 1787, maker's mark of Robert Hennell I, the straight sided oval teapot with rectangular corners, with two bright cut oval cartouches, one engraved with crest, the other initialled, undulating ribbon above, between finely reeded border enclosing stylized flowerhead and triangles, the corners with floral festoon, straight spout, wood scroll handle, the hinged low domed cover with conformingly bright cut rim and calyx, topped by carved ivory oval finial, engraved with presentation inscription under base dated 1790--6¼in. (15.8cm.) high, the conforming stand on four tapering feet, engraved with crest and bright cut border--6¼in. (15.8cm.) long, gross weight 18oz.
