The front designed as an oval yellow gold locket bearing an engraved royal monogram, opening to reveal an inscription, To dear Helena from her affectionate Mama Victoria R., 25 May 1865, to an engraved yellow gold hinged band(gold worn)--6½ in.
Provenance: This bangle was given by Queen Victoria to her fifth child, Helena Augusta Victoria, on her nineteenth birthday. Helena, her third daughter, was born on May 25th, 1846 and lived until 1923.
