Of oval outline, designed as a sardonyx cameo depicting a female figure within a rose-cut diamond, pearl, rose gold, and silver-topped rose gold frame(with a detachable pin stem bearing French hallmarks, solder evident on reverse, gold slightly discolored, pearls not tested for natural vs. cultured), the frame bearing the inscription BM 1815, circa 1860
