Pau Grand Prix Automobile, 2 Avril 1939, lithograph in colours, original race poster - 62½in x 46in

Pau was the home of the French Grand Prix in 1930 and in 1933 and between 1935-1939, it saw the Pau Grand Prix take place on the round-the-houses circuit, running past the station and climbing into the Parc Beaumont. Lehoux's Bugatti won the first event in 1933 and in 1938 Dreyfus' Delahaye confounded the German teams by winning from the Lang and Caracciola Mercedes.
