The Madonna leaning over the Infant Christ sleeping on pillows in a basket raised on a scroll-foot base, the young Saint John sitting at the right profering fruit from a bowl in his left hand, the figures supported on a ledge (one scroll foot and ledge repaired, minor chips to edge of ledge) ----- 6 1/8in. (15.5cm.) high, mounted against ebonized wood within a molded frame, the reverse inscribed 1620 in pencil and with an illegible phrase, with paper collection label
