Each monkey standing in front of a tree stump, one wearing 18th century dress and holding drum sticks, one wearing 18th century dress and holding a triangle, one wearing a feathered turban, loose shirt and panatloons, two draped drums slung over his shoulders, one wearing 17th century dress and strumming a mandolin, each standing on an octagonal ivory and tortoishell veneered waisted socle, the undersides of three with paper labels printed '107', '109', '110', one with the remains of adhesive from the missing label (drum stick and stick to play the triangle missing) --- the tallest 8 1/8 in. (20.7 cm.) high
