"SHOELESS" SHOE JACKSON POSTER
A poster of undetermined date for a barnstorming game between Shoeless Joe Jackson and his Ray Tag Bench vs. The Black Crows at Crosley Field. The piece contains a crude drawing of a player swinging a "black betsy" bat, which was Jackson's trademark. There is an inset picture of Jackson in a generic white hat. Jackson did barnstorm during the 1920's and 1930's after being banned from baseball by Commissioner Kenesaw Mountain Landis for allegedly accepting bribe money in the 1919 World Series.
