A STAFFORDSHIRE SALTGLAZE JACOBITE QUATREFOIL TEAPOT AND COVER
CIRCA 1760

Of 'pectin-shell' type, moulded with overlapping shells and trailing oak branches and enamelled in colours with the Pretender in the branches above the shells, the leaves and roses enriched in green and red, raised on three paw feet headed by lion's masks (tip of spout one foot and chip on cover restored, crack at base of handle)--5¼in. (13.5cm.) high
