A double-breasted stage jacket of electric purple velvet, with vents of black velvet at the back and sides, lined with patterned rayon, the inside label Zeidler & Zeidler Ltd.; and a calypso style shirt of white crepe, the sleeves decorated with ruffles, cropped above the midriff and tied with a knot - both garments worn by James Brown on stage in the mid to late 1960's; three Western Union cables sent to James Brown at the Flamingo Hotel, Las Vegas, 1967; and a publicity photograph of Brown playing an electric organ--13 1/4 x 10 1/4 in.
