A pair of stage trousers, circa 1967. The purple crushed velvet pants feature vents on both lower outer leg seams; sewn closed with five matching fabric covered buttons. On the inside waistband, two small pockets of purple and tangerine fabric.
The purple velvet pants were worn many times by Jimi Hendrix including a 1967 appearance at the BBC Playhouse Theatre in London, England. Signed letters of authenticity from road manager Eugene McFadden and band member Noel Redding accompany the lot.
