FIRST EDITION, FIRST ISSUE, with the Allestry imprint, engraved frontispiece portrait of Milton by Faithorne, with the errata leaf at end. Pforzheimer 710; Grolier, Wither to Prior, II, 196; Wing M2119. Allestry died within months after the book was issued; the following year his successor, Spencer Hickman, substituted a cancel title with his own name in the imprint.
