A SAXON (GLÜCKSBURG) ENGRAVED GOBLET, the thistle-shaped bowl decorated with a gentleman taking leave of a lady, the word Adie inscribed beside his head, flanked by trees and with a castle on a rocky outcrop in the distance, the reverse with an inscription, the lower part cut with arch and flute ornament, on a facet-cut inverted baluster stem and a folded conical foot, circa 1740
