A GERMAN ROCOCO STYLE GILT-METAL AND PORCELAIN-MOUNTED EBONIZED WORK TABLE, LATE 19TH CENTURY, with a hinged serpentine rectangular top inset with a "Meissen style" plaque depicting lovers in a landscape and enclosing a similarly mounted tulipwood compartmented interior within a conforming frieze applied with six "Meissen style" plaques depicting exotic birds and amorous couples and fitted with a drawer, on four columnar supports centering a bird, on cabriole legs surmounted by putti, the legs signed with crossed swords over a star--32¼ in. high, 21 in. wide, 18½ in. deep
