Each of circular tapering form, one with a foliate-carved lid centering a fleur-de-lys within a sunburst and a wreath of hearts reversing to a beaded medallion carved with the inscription 'A mon ami Bailly maire de Paris' with 'Bailly maire' obliterated, the beaded base carved with an oval medallion enclosing interlaced 'L's' and surmounted by a revolutionary cap flanked by armorial trophies, the back carved with the inscription 'Notre bon roi accepte la constitution et ie jure de la maintenir notre bonheur est certain'; the other with foliate-carved lid centering an armorial trophy surmounted by a revolutionary cap, the foliate-carved base carved with the inscription 'La Liberté ou la mort' and beaded trellis enclosing paterae (formerly polychrome-painted)-8¼in.
