A GEORGE III IRISH SILVER TEA URN, maker's mark worn, apparently that of Gustav Byrne, Dublin, 1793, vase form, on molded circular pedestal base, the lower body flat chased with radiating pickets, straight spout with wood handle, engraved with coat of arms within tied drapery mantling, with two upswept reeded handles, the waisted domed cover engraved with crest and topped by baluster finial, the interior fitted with detachable, covered, pig compartment--14½in. (36.8cm.) high, gross weight 47.5oz.
