The domed body with a circular aperture set on a flat base and decorated in underglaze blue with bamboo and plum blossom in rockwork, the rim of the aperture bordered by a flower petal design, the base inscribed with a Chinese character meaning 'top' or 'first' in underglaze blue -- 1 5/8in. (4.2cm.) x 2 7/8in. (7.3cm.), hairline crack to base; sold together with matching brass spoon
