Yang Dal-Suk was born in South Kyongsang Province and studied at the Tokyo Imperial Art School. His work was exhibited at the "Cho Sun" art exhibition during the period of 1934-44, and in 1962 he won the South Kyongsang Province Cultural Award. Yang Dal-Suk was the Director of the Korean Art Association in Pusan from 1948-55.
