Chun Wha-Whang studied under the Japanese yoga-style painter, Suda Kunitaro (1891-1961) whose paintings "Nude" and "Portrait Bust with Owl" were sold in these rooms on December 18, 1992. He showed his work in 1943 and 1944 in exhibitions in Kyoto, Japan, and in Paris in 1977. His paintings were also shown in 1945 and in 1991 in Seoul. He won the Hang Dong award in 1951, and in 1981 Ki Do Orin Ye Sul, a book devoted to his work was published.
