In 1955 Kwak In-Shick won the Japan Cultural Association Award. In 1971 his work was included in the "Korean Modern Art" exhibition sponsored by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Seoul, and in 1985 at the Museum of Modern Art in Seoul in the "Weisman Collection" exhibition. His paintings were also shown in "Twenty-five Modern Artsts" at the Hyun Dai Gallery in Seoul.
