Group of 20 historiated initials apparently from the same manuscript on vellum, each cut out approximately square, with burnished gold ground surrounding the initial of pink; within each, on a blue ground with white penwork tracery, a shoulder-length figure, both male and female, is depicted. [Northern Italy?, circa 1500]. Together 20 initials, 47 x 47 mm. (1 7/8 x 1 7/8 in.) and smaller; mounted on 3 boards behind glass (glass cracked).
