One page, folio, accomplished in manuscript, papered state seal in upper left corner, some wear and separations along folds (affecting line with Sherman's name); framed. Appointment of John Sherman to Captain of a Company in the first Regiment first Brigade and fifth Division of the militia of this Commonwealth." Unexamined out of frame.
