A PAIR OF GEORGE III SILVER SAUCE TUREENS AND COVERS
LONDON, 1805, MAKER'S MARK OF PAUL STORR

Each of circular form, on spreading circular foot chased with a band of flutes below a fluted knop, the body applied with a molded mid-band below a fluted band and dentilated rim, the tied reeded scroll handles issuing from lion masks, the domed cover with reeded foliate loop handles issuing from a fluted calyx, marked on bases and covers, engraved EH-54.1 and .2, and with Dallas Museum of Art accession numbers 1987.108.1a, .1b and .2a, .2b--length over handles--8 1/4in. (21cm.)
