Each of shaped oblong form, with gadrooned rims with acanthus and teardrops at intervals, the cover with a similar gadrooned border enclosing a removable foliate scroll and flowerhead loop finial issuing from a foliate scroll calyx, the cover engraved on each side with a coat-of-arms, two crests and motto, marked on sides and covers, engraved EH-122.1 and.2, and with Dallas Museum of Art accession numbers 1987.174.1a and .2a--10 1/4in. (26cm.) long
