Of urn-shaped form, on oval spreading foot bright-cut engraved with alternating foliage and lozenges on a reeded ground, raised on a rectangular pedestal base supported by four foliate scroll feet, the scalloped panelled body engraved under the rim with a band of similar foliate fronds and swags, above similar foliage and reeded cartouches enclosing, on the front, a coat-of-arms, and on the back, a crest, the fluted straight spigot with bone crescent handle, with swept angular leaf-clad handles, the domed cover engraved with a band of similar foliate below a fluted batswing calyx and surmounted by an oval urn-shaped finial, marked on base and cover--12 1.2in. (31.7cm.) high
