Of oval form, on four leaf, shell and scroll legs, the bowed sides with two reeded open handles issuing from leaves, with a gadrooned rim, the domed oval cover surmounted by a reeded and leaf-clad ring handle issuing from a calyx of acanthus, the sides and cover engraved with the badge of the Royal Fusiliers, marked under base, on cover and on finial--length over handles 16 3/8 in. (41.6 cm.)
