Of circular form, on wide spreading circular foot, the bowed sides with two open branch-form handles issuing from leaves, the low-domed circular cover chased with radiating batswing flutes and surmounted by a conial finial formed of acanthus leaves, the sides engraved twice with a coat of arms, the cover engraved twice with a crest, marked under base, on cover and on finial --length over handles 12 5/8 in.
