Lot Essay

The arms are those of Robert, 8th Baron Belhaven and Stenton, born in 1893. He was Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and Lord Lieutenant of Lanarkshire. In 1831 he was created Baron Hamilton of Wishaw.
