Of oblong form, raised on four scrolling leaf feet, the gadrooned rim with shells at intervals, the open branch-form handles issuing from oak leaves and acorns, the field flat-chased with scrolls, shells, and rocaille and engraved with a coat of arms, crest, and motto, marked on reverse--length over handles 29 1/4 in. (74.3 cm.)
