Of tapering cylindrical form on molded rim, the scroll spout with hinged cap and molded drop, the ebonized wood scroll side handle with silver sockets with similar drops, the hinged domed cover with scroll thumbpiece joining the hinge key by a link chain, the hinged cap surmounted by a ball finial with mid-rib, the side engraved circa 1740 with a coat of arms and crest within a foliate scroll cartouche, marked on body and cover--10 3/8in. (26.3cm.) high; the circular stand raised on three scroll supports, the central circular burner with hinged domed burner cap, marked on burner interior--3 3/8in. (8.5cm.) high
