Of oval form, the sauceboat on three scroll feet issuing from rocaille, the sides chased with spiral flutes, acanthus and trelliswork, the rim applied with foliate scrolls, the handle formed as a lion rampant standing on foliate scrolls; the stand on four similar feet, the molded rim with leaves at intervals and the handles formed as crowns with applied monograms, each engraved with monogram HB, a crest and motto, each marked under base, also stamped HUNT & ROSKELL LATE STORR MORTIMER & HUNT--stand 10 1/4 in. (26 cm.) long
