VIENNA, CIRCA 1870, MAKER'S MARK OF HERMANN BOHM
Formed as a three-masted ship, the hull formed as an oval cup, on domed oval foot rising to a columnar support flanked by two dolphins, the silver rim and footrim of stylized leaves, the pierced scrollwork deck of the ship lifting to form the cover and set with three masts, each surmounted by a pennant and supporting an enamel sail with rigging mounted with enamelled figures, the polychrome enamelled scenes from classical mythology, marked on foot, rim, deck and masts, also struck with French control marks--12 3/4 in. (32.4 cm.) high
