MOSCOW, 1876, WITH MAKER'S MARKS OF KHLEBNIKOV WITH IMPERIAL WARRANT
The domed cover chased and engraved with a classical female figure seated between a putto presenting an open casket, and an urn, partly surrounded by an unfurled ribbon engraved in Russian Trading House Drogomizhskii & Son,1776-1876, the front and back panels engraved with scenes of plentitude and trade depicting cherubs on a sandy coast hauling a chest, carrying sheaves of wheat, and transporting trunks in a row boat, each side panel with a ribbon tied laurel wreath below the dates 1776-1876, with gilt interior, marked inside base and cover - 4 3/16in. (10.5cm.) long
