A FINE BAMANA FEMALE ANTELOPE HEADDRESS, chi'wara

Of stylised form, the body composed of the pierced base with four slightly curved struts, the baby on the mother's back, each with slender vertical horns and triangular ears which are pierced and hung with metal rings suspending spherical crotals, each with engraved geometric ornament, applied metal panels and brass upholstery nails, twisted metal rose rings, the mother with traces of wax for abrus seeds.
