With circular enamel dial with roman and arabic chapters signed Janvier à Paris fitted into a campaña shaped-urn, with oval lotus-cast lid with foliate finial above a vine-leaf cast vessel fitted with caryatid handles issuing scrolling foliage and winged lions above a vine-leaf wreath, on waisted gadrooned socle and beaded foliate-cast rectangular plinth, with associated Brocot escapement and later dial, signed 'Janvier'-20½in. (52cm.) high, 12in. (31cm.) wide, 7¼in. (18cm.) deep
