FIVE MEISSEN PLATES painted with lovers wearing 18th Century dress in idyllic gardens within circular cartouches outlined with gilt filigree-pattern, the wells gilt with hatched half-circles and tendrils, the dark-blue borders reserved with meandering flowers within moulded scroll and flower cartouches, the shaped rims edged with gilt dashes (slight wear to enamels and gilding), blue crossed swords marks, Pressnummern 8, incised 57, circa 1880
