The lower section raised on three gilt-metal, stylized elephant-head supports and decorated around the body with lotus scroll and on top of the foliate rim with pairs of confronted dragons above a border of baoshan haishui, the removeable middle section decorated with further bands of lotus scroll and a reticulated band of dragon scroll repeated on the cover below a pierced finial cast with bats and clouds and a shou medallion, minor restoration--18in. (45.8cm.) across
