Two very similar lian are in the Musée Cernuschi, included in the exhibition, Chine connue et inconnue, October 1992-1993, Catalogue, p. 77, fig. 32a,b and were recently discussed by Marie-Thérèse Bobot, The Musée Cernuschi in Paris, New Acquisitions: 1982-92, Orientations, August 1992, p. 55, where the author states that "The only other example known, with a third acrobat balanced on top of the other two, was found in an Eastern Han tomb in Luoyang in Henan province in 1972 (Kaogu, 1975:2, pp 116-23)".
This lian is also illustrated by Annette L. Juliano, Bronze, Clay and Stone, Chinese Art in the C.C Wang Collection, 1988, no. 19B
