A PHOSPHATIC-SPLASHED STONEWARE OVOID JAR
TANG DYNASTY
The high-shouldered body covered inside and out with a dark olive-brown glaze liberally decorated with splashes of violet blue and cream tone draining and pooling towards the unglazed mouth rim as well as the knife-cut foot rim and ending in an irregular line on the exterior to expose the stoneware body, some restoration to mouth rim--10 7/8 in. (27.7cm.) high
