A PAIR OF LEMON-YELLOW-GLAZED QILIN SEALS

Each hollow rectangular plinth surmounted by a seated mythical beast with open mouth and black-glazed eyes, the bases left in the biscuit and carved with different seals, one in raised characters, the other in intaglio--4¼in. (10.6cm.) high, box; together with a small molded white-glazed waterpot, 18th century, of compressed baluster form, the upper body lightly molded with two dragons striding amidst lingzhi meander, between a ruyi-head collar above and a band of lappets below, with finely incised details--1 7/8in.
