For another aquamarine bottle see Robert Hall, Chinese Snuff Bottles IV, October 10, 1991, Catalogue, lot 120. The author notes that it is rare to find typical overlay technique and subject matter applied to a monochrome glass bottle. See also Robert W. L. Kleiner, Chinese Snuff Bottles from the Collection of John Ault, 1990, Catalogue, col. pl. 14, where the author attributes these bottles to Beijing, 18th century. He also hints at a possible attribution to the Le family based on these gem-like colors and bubble-suffused bodies
