A SÈVRES PLATE, the centre painted with an oak branch within a blue ground band gilt with berried foliage, the border with a garland of oak between two similar blue ground bands (slight rubbing to gilding), blue interlaced L marks enclosing date letters oo for 1791, painted mark nq for Niquet and gilder's mark HP for Prevost, incised 24; and five English plates similar (very minor rubbing to gilding), four with imitation blue interlaced L marks and script G, one with indistinct impressed mark, circa 1880
