A SÈVRES (HARD PASTE) BLUE AND GREEN GROUND CHINOISERIE COFFEE-CAN and a saucer, the green ground scraped away to reveal the blue ground below and leaving chinoiserie figures in panels on a ground of scrolls, flowerheads, beads and foliage, the flowerheads and rims enriched with gilding (slight hair crack to base of handle and rubbing to gilt rims), gilt crowned interlaced L marks, the saucer with indistinct date letter, painter's mark LG for Le Guay to can and L to saucer, incised UL and N to can and CR to saucer, circa 1779 (2)
