AN EGYPTIAN GLAZED STEATITE BOWL
NEW KINGDOM, 1550-1070 B.C.
Blue-green in color, the bottom slightly rounded and ornamented with a central rosette, the concave sides adorned with two figural handles in the form of monkeys, and in the center a frog, sacred to the goddess Heqet section of the rim restored, 3 1/2in. (8.89 cm.) diam.
