Of cylindrical form, with strigilated ornamentation and an inscriptional plaque which reads: "Caius Julius Agrippa, soldier of the First Praetorian Cohort, made for his most beloved and well deserving brother Caius Julius Macro, standard bearer and knight of the First Pretorian Cohort, who served under arms for ten years and lived until twenty-seven," the lid with a rosette in low relief, 14 1/2 in. (36.8cm.) high
