THREE SYRIAN HEMATITE CYLINDER SEALS
CIRCA 1850-1620 B.C

One engraved with an enthroned deity wearing a tall oval headdress and a flounced robe, holding an ax over his shoulder, a standing bull figure in front with steams of water issuing from its shoulders, a winged griffin kneels to the left, an animal head and star in the field, a star disc and crescent, and winged sun disc in the sky, guilloche border, 12 x 8 mm, one engraved with an enthroned deity wearing flounced headdress and a flounced robe receives an ibex as an offering from a standing worshiper to the right, two vessels and a hand in the field, with two opposing griffins above four marching men, one with arm raised, as the terminal, 19 x 17 mm, and one engraved with a winged male figure with attendant with a staff at the waist, both facing left towards a diminutive scene of a seated figure wearing a high oval headdress holding an alabastron and receiving a saluting a male and female, two couchant hares below, a snake and two scorpions in the field, line border, 17 x 9 mm (3)
