THREE SYRIAN HEMATITE CYLINDER SEALS
CIRCA 1850-1720 B.C.
One engraved with two female figures saluting each other, a palm tree and two fish in between them, with a vertical scroll pattern as the terminal, line border, 23 x 12 mm, one engraved with two facing female figures, each holding palm fronds, a bird in between them, with a third figure to the right with one hand raised, a vessel, fish, two small vertical markings, a hand, and a three-pronged object on a stand in the field, line border, 19 x 10 mm, and one engraved with two figures raising their hands in salute to a nude frontal figure in between them, the hands lifted up to its chest, next to a nude goddess squating on a pedistal and lifting a schematic garment over her head, two rampant hare on either side, and two opposing hare above, and two plants and two vertical lines in the field, line border, 22 x 11 mm (3)
