Kändler similar to the preceding, playing the mandolin, in black hat with moulded gilt crossed pick-axes and turquoise rosette, gilt-edged and buttoned white jacket revealing a red waistcoat and black pouch with gilt crossed swords, long black back apron, black knee-guards and shoes, standing before rockwork on a square mound base applied with flowers and foliage (restoration to fingers, head of instrument, chips to edge of jacket, damaged restored chip to edge of apron, slight chips to flowers and foliage), blue crossed swords mark at back, circa 1745
