COOLIDGE, CALVIN. President. Autograph letter signed ("Calvin Coolidge") to the Commissioner of Corporations in Boston; Northampton, Mass., 16 July 1904. One page, 4to, on Coolidge's imprinted law office stationery, very slightly faded, matted with an engraved portrait, glazed in a gilt-wood frame.
In a letter dated the same year Coolidge was named chairman of the local Republican Party organization, the young attorney requests information regarding a lawsuit he intends to bring. "I want to bring a suit on Monday next against the Consolidated Rendering Co. of Boston. Will you kindly telegraph me collect, whether it is a corporation. Please do this as early as you can on Monday...."
