An unusually long, conversational letter to one of her closest friends, describing in detail the hotel in St. Petersburg where she and former President Coolidge had stayed during a recent directors' conference of the New York Life Insurance Company (Coolidge served on the board) and asking her friend to join them in Florida: "...Mr. Coolidge...promised Dr. Hamilton Holt to visit his college at Winter Park... St. Petersburg is lovely and has almost perpetual sunshine. The Vinoy Park Hotel is most attractive, right on the bay with a sandy beach close by... The season is just opening. I have seen no dressing for dinner yet...This is the first place we have found where we can really rest".
